Spiritual Sunday: Inferiority Complex by Brandi

Spirit led me to post this article here today. Hope it helps whoever
needs it!

Blessings,
Brandi

Inferiority is a sense of feeling unsure or uncertain about oneself.
It's constantly comparing yourself to others, and feeling that you
fall short or just aren't good enough. This feeling can overwhelm us
at times, and send us into a reactionary space, making us defensive
about our choices and our experiences.
Inferiority is the root to many issues in our lives. Many of us are
defeated by our feelings of inferiority and inadequacy without even
realizing that we are suffering from it.
Webster's dictionary defines an inferiority complex as a persistent
sense of inadequacy; a tendency for self diminishment, sometimes
resulting in a sense of aggression or overcompensation; a person lower
in rank and establishment than another person.

Signs you may be suffering from inferiority:
- Do you grudgingly admit your shortcomings, while enthusiastically
pointing out the shortcomings of others?

- Do you bully people or talk about others with disdain?

- Do you feel attacked when someone disagrees with you?

- Do you feel belittled when you receive correction or confrontation?

- Do you blame others for your problems?

- Do you derive your worth and value from your performance or appearance?

- Are you touchy, fragile, easily hurt, whether you show it or not?

- Are you critical or defensive?

- Do you feel as if you have to talk about yourself to get others to
like you?

- Do you have a superior attitude?

- Do you try to impress people?

Being in an inferior thought process is a self governed prison; it's
the ball and chain you drag behind you wherever you go. Feelings of
inferiority are fear-based emotions; when we come from a place of
fear, we cannot achieve greatness or success, for all the foundations
we lay down for our lives are shaky and unstable.

In working to overcome inferiority, we must remember that Spirit did
not make us from fear. Our souls, which are the true essence of our
being, are made from power, from love, from forgiveness, from
confidence; we are made from the light of the Sun and Universal Love.
Nature is completely confident that plants will grow, that the world
will evolve; and we are made from Nature, it is our minds and our
bodies, so that same sense of assurance is instilled in us. It is
truly not in our nature to be fearful of who we are and what we can
accomplish; that fear is something we learn, something we are taught,
that for many of us becomes a habit we do no even realize we are
acting upon.

We compare ourselves to others' achievements, to the success of our
family and friends. We fantasize about how easy it must have been for
them, and whine, "Why not me? When do I get mine? Why is he/she so
special?" In reality, we have no idea what that person had to go
through for their achievements, and we are making ourselves miserable
with unfounded feelings of injustice. The truth is, when you compare
yourself to others, you are completely negating everything Spirit had
to do to get you where you are. You are belittling the struggles you
survived, the people who blessed you, the good works you achieved, and
the love and happiness you've experienced that made you who you are.

Take into consideration how much of the path of our lives is a mystery
to us. You go through your experiences for a reason, and there is a
purpose to every lesson you learn. If you are preoccupied with someone
else's portion of life, with someone else's lesson, you miss your own.
Remember that life is a work in progress, and you have not come to
completion yet. You have no idea what life has in store for you, or
what wonderful things you are being prepared for! Enjoy and be
satisfied with your own path, instead of coveting everyone else's.

To transform inferiority, you must renew your thought process in
reference to yourself and the world around you. One way is to start
looking at yourself through the eyes of Spirit, through the eyes of
the Light. Spirit is already convinced you are worth it, does not
find you lacking in any way, and is certain that you have undeniable
gifts to offer the world. Through Spirit, we are perfect, and more
than we need to be in order to succeed. When you open to the Higher
Self
, you align with Spirit – meaning that your energy and the love of
the Universe is constantly moving, constantly growing, and constantly
changing your life and the energy around you, every minute of everyday.

Sometimes we make the mistake of trying to validate ourselves by
ourselves. We are so busy `looking out for Number One' we overlook
the way we can help others. The quickest way to move out of
inferiority is to become aware of the skills and abilities you can
present to others. Ask yourself, "What do I have to offer?" Not only
does this question force us to see our worthiness, it helps us realize
the power we have to bless those around us.

Building our self image and esteem does not commence with
selfishness, it begins with gratitude for our own paths, and the love
we share with the world.

HUMP~DAY By Rebecca

Hi Everyone!!

It's the day before Thanksgiving, and I wanted to find you guys something really spectacular in celebration of the holiday. When I saw this cosmo.com position, I knew it was the one. I mean the name alone gets it extra points! So in whatever stage of Thanksgiving preparedness you are in, I say take a break, and learn the steps to this ELECTRIC SLIDE!!

EROTIC INSTRUCTIONS:
You lie down on the bed or floor on your stomach, with your legs straight and slightly apart. Your guy sits right behind your buns with his legs in front of him and his hands on either side of his body for support. He leans back at a 45-degree angle to your body so he can join his genitals with yours. As he rocks forward and back, bring your legs together for a tight fit. Rest on your elbows with your arms in front of you for leverage.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT:
If your guy likes taking charge in bed, this position will let him be your passion pilot. He can glide back and forth as fast or sensually slow as he desires down the runway of your thighs. And since you're restricted from thrusting and grinding, you get to relax and completely relinquish control — allowing you to concentrate entirely on your pleasure. Plus, you get to enjoy the überhot element of surprise since you can't see which naughty nooky move he's planning to do next.
To add some extra sparks to this already electric pose, arch your back as much as possible. The change in position will cause your vaginal muscles to tighten, driving him wild!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!!
Rebecca :)

Man-Day by Stephanie

Everyone!

It is the start of a brand new week and you guessed it another Man-Day to start it off. Have a wonderful day and enjoy! Thought I would start it off with a poem I found.

Teaser

by Sophie Jean

Hey! You!

Yeah, you with that
"I've got nearly enough on my plate
but I'd like a serving of you
dressed in nothing more than massage oil"
look in your eyes.

You know,
I'd just love to kiss you.
I've got this kissing urge that goes way beyond
lips and skin and saliva and tongue.
You know, that sort of kissing urge
that just leads on and on to
all senses tingling
and screaming
and begging for more.

Yeah, I'd love to kiss you
Full, firmly on the smacker
so that our breath mingles
and the sweet secretions of
our mouths, open to each other,
blend and brew.
I'd really like to kiss you - can you tell?

And then,
My hands as the servants of
an exploratory mind
would search your face, your head.
Phrenology a study that wants
examining further.

Your neck,
that smooth highway from your mind
to your physique
I would suckle and lick to find
Your pulse.
Your lifeblood.

I'd like to take the lobe of your ear
between my teeth
and tease your aural sensibilities
with the ramblings of my tongue.

I'd like to look deep down into your eyes
and open up your soul to
searing scrutiny.
I'd wrap my aura around yours
to form psychadelia.

I'd like to wrap my arms around
your shoulders
And hold your body from
clavicle to hip
tightly
Against the corresponding parts of me.
I'd like to feel the pressure of your
abs, pecs, thighs
As they fill and flow beneath
their smooth casing.
I'd like to watch them,
make them pumped
and play with them.

I'd like to use my nails against your back
and send morse messages
of lust and desire
through your spinal chord.
I'd follow each rib, each disc
serving as a sub-station
for my dictation.
I'd tattoo these thoughts and dreams
through to yours.

I'd like to massage your fantasies
into pliancy
and sculpt them into form.

I'd like to wrap your legs around
my legs around you
and pull you into me.
I'd like to make you climax so that
your brain loses all sense of
reality, time, rationalism and focus
and swells instead with a mantra
that means more.

I'd like to take you on that rollercoaster
where every loop is the crest of a breaking wave
that spirals down and around
and back until
ups and downs
seem no more like directions
but a never-ending montage.

I'd like to meld our bodies into one
joyous ball of energy
bouncing on the pleasurable see-saw
of ecstasy and bliss.

But I won't.

For, I'm not that sort of girl
any more

HBR & SUNDAY IN ONE SHOUT OUT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK

So wow I bet you guys thought I had gotten mosey..., Well I did, but I've been drawn out...
Our Miss Thumper is so busy with her new job (whooo hoooo gooo Thumper go Thumper go Thumper) That she is going to be missing a few Thursdays. So HBR is going to be co-hosted by our other lovely mods until then...., Sundays, will be Allmine's days, but she is in deep undercover for a minute, with Wicked Women of Color..., we have a great idea for Sunday's, that we hope to unveil soon.
IT will envolve a bit of interaction and we hope you all like both days...we really want to entertain you all and give you food for thought on each day.

Having said that I was hard pressed to come up with something for this Thursday...
The weather is cold and windy here, I am sure laura thinks I've tricked her into moving to some weird twilight zone version of hell and I a feeling sorta hard pressed for it to snow soon so she will be so lost in that miracle that she isn't mad about the cold (she is southern to the bone you know we don't do cold well anyway, and especially those of us who are beach born southeners)

Anyway, so today is sorta of a walk around the house going ok george what next kinda day.
I had to go to my office for a minute and I heard this song on the radio and I can't get away from it...
It spoke to me something feirce, made me miss my grams and remember some fun stuff...
so I guess it fits with HBR..., because if you don't have time to remember those you've forgotten you problem aren't having time for your self

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLA06UmFg0s

Don't get all stank face at work like I did in the car

Oh and P.S.
Since Thumper wants us to work out more..., you can work out at work and home even in the cold....,
a few ideas
Lift gallons of water (even your sports bottles) do reps on each side
LUNGES...hey we all want to do the toni walk so you gotta firm up that rump you can do those at home or at work at your desk..., find a quite place and try it
you can also practice the coochielaties at work when no one knows..., the same therory is used by highschool athletes...., the coaches have them clinch and release their abdominal muscles throughout their classes during the day to help them build up a strong center or core.
Dancers also do this exersice and call it isolations...., they concetrate on flexing on muscle in the body for several reps..., then in dance moves you see that great fluidity as the do things like make their arms look like waves (Phillipe Cheebe) or roll their hips (Shakira)..., the key is being able to ISOLATE one set of muscles holding them still as the rest of the body moves...or moving them as the rest of the body stays motionless...
The most common form of this is when guys flex their pecs..., (women can do this too as i am learning..., apparently {according to my uncles} I used to do this when I was really little (4 or 5), I'd see them doing it and do it back) now it's not so obvious that I am doing it but according to the lady who fit me for my new bra it's a good thing that I can, because it keeps that muscle firm longer...which means I wont have to worry about my nipples hitting my toes for a long while and thats good for EVERYBODY

HUMP~DAY by Rebecca

Hey Y'all,
I hope everyone is having a wonderful HUMPDAY!! I was perusing the lovely cosmopolitan.com(thanks Laura!!) website when I stumbled upon a lovely write up about the Blended Orgasm. Yeah... it just sounds like something you want to try ASAP right!! What's really cool is the fact that they give you what to do with or without a partner. So without further ado, I give you the
BLENDED ORGASM!! Enjoy!

How to Achieve One on Your Very Own
Before you pursue a blended O with your guy, it’s a good idea to learn the ropes on your own so you’re then able to better direct him, explains Lori Buckley, PsyD, a certified sex therapist in Pasadena, California.

The best way to start is by lying on your back comfortably and letting your body de-stress. When you feel relaxed, begin manually stroking your clitoris lightly. As you become more aroused, increase your pressure and speed until you’re close to reaching your peak.
Once you’re near the brink, take your hand off your clitoris and move it to your G-spot. If you’re not sure where yours is, locate it this way: Insert a finger palm-up about an inch or two into your vagina, feeling for a spongy or puckered area along the front wall. You’ll know you’ve found it when a warm, sexy sensation washes over you...one that may even make you feel like you need to pee (because your G is near your bladder, it can trigger the urge to urinate, but don’t worry, this should subside in a few seconds).

As you massage your G and become increasingly excited, resume stimulating your clitoris with your other hand or a vibrator...but don’t take your finger off your G-spot. “While touching both, charge full speed ahead until you reach an explosive, pulsing kind of climax,” says Buckley. If it doesn’t happen the first time, practice, practice, practice.

Getting Your Guy In on the Action
Once you’ve located your G-spot and know how to bring yourself to a blended orgasm, you’re ready to go for it with him. This position should make it easier: Lie on your back on the bed, your feet dangling over the edge, with a few pillows underneath your bottom to raise your pelvis. “It’ll be easier for your man’s penis to hit your G-spot if your vagina is elevated,” says Buckley.

Have your guy stand or kneel (depending on how tall he is and how far off the floor the bed is) as he penetrates you. You two will form an L shape; he shouldn’t lean too far over your body because you’ll soon need room to reach down and touch your clitoris. Once he’s inside you and you feel his penis stroke your G, have him thrust until you feel close to climax...then ask him to stop and remain very still. Let him watch as you softly tease your clitoris with your fingers. “Switch back and forth between touching your clitoris and stopping and having him thrust until you can’t take it anymore and you have to do both moves at the same time. It’ll lead to an incredibly explosive finale,” says Cadell.

Man-Day by Stephie

Hi Dude and Dudettes,

I know it is late in the p.m. with the kick-off of Man-Day but a sista is feeling like raw meat on a stick being dangled of a pit-bull cage. That is truly said and I look even worse. Anyway Man-Day will probably not be as exciting as it usually is and I humbly apologize forgive me. Now without further delay here are pick of the week.

OK and lets not forget about Patrick cause I have a couple of times and here again is another apology for the day. Everyone enjoy! I am going to drink some hot tea.

1 28-oz can whole tomatoes
3 tablespoons olive oil
5-6 large garlic cloves, finely minced
4 tablespoons chili powder
1/4-1/2 teaspoons crushed hot red pepper flakes

1/4 milk
1 large egg

1. Roughly chop the tomatoes and place, with their juices, in a large saucepan. Cook uncovered over medium heat for about 20 minutes.
2. As this cooks, heat 2 tablespoons oil in a small frying pan, add garlic and cook very briefly, being very careful to let it not burn. Add the chili powder and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute.
3. Put ground meat in mixing bowl. Add half the garlic mixture. Add the remaining half to the tomatoes, mix, simmer briefly, then turn off heat while you prepare the meatballs. OK enough about me I know what you ladies are waiting for that fine male specimen that I suppose to have up every Man-Day to get your juices flowing

OK, OK without further a due here goes.

I so hope you ladies enjoy the pictures. I enjoyed very much picking them out. Until next time have a wonderful, safe, and fun Man-Day.

MY STORY IN HISTORY by THE LISA - Gifted To Us by Nicole M

November 4, 2008
Will forever be remembered as an important date,
One lid was removed from racism’s jar once screwed tight,
As destiny gripped and covered Obama as heavens shadows sparkled in delight, I could sense a change was about to come,
Even as the bitterness still spewed from the mouths of some,
I danced to a rhythm flowing and echoing between my ears,
“A change gone come”,
As I imagined the angels dancing, sounding and ringing the alarm, I felt in my spirit that a change would indeed take place,
Behind the eyes of injustice and across hatreds face,
From the ropes that once swung freely and openly in the air,
To new hopes with dreams of inspiration now popping up everywhere, From the shadows of my people once cast hanging from a tree,
To the endless possibilities of shared justice and equality,
There has to be a party going on all across the land,
And, yes, Heaven has got the news and has even extended its hand,
For all the people that were once mistreated and often beat,
I raise my hands in their honor and claim victory over their defeat,
And as for MY families injustices that were once silenced by slave’s chains,
I now acknowledge appreciation to life yet, remembering all the carcasses that remain,
The struggle will be hard, and the work has just begun,
The journey will be uphill as we prepare for the run,
So many things have happened with very little to compare,
As the self inflicted wounds of America start to heal and repair,
Nothing can be done to change the past, no, not one single thing,
But today I awoke with a new found eagerness to finally hear the liberty bell ring,
My hat goes off to the youth of this country, as they allowed their voice to be heard,
They cast their votes with determination speaking clearly through Ebonics slurred,
My Farther and his friends once marched along a Memphis street,
As America looked on, they carefully walked peacefully over stepping history’s violent beat,
They had a fearless attitude combined with a prayerful outlook,
Dedicated to the fact that one by one pages needed to rewritten with our stories placed firmly in history’s book,
Dressed with determination and a sign that read “I am a Man”,
Each step taken was leading to the promise of Gods’ ultimate plan,
So for my Farther, and his Farther, and the list goes on and on,
Recognition extended via America’s White House invitation stamped and approved in the fact that on this land
WE AS A PEOPLE ARE WORTHY AND BELONG!

Welcome Our New President!!!!

BARACK OBAMA
IS THE 44TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!

A Call For Prayer by Sassy, Sinful, SexyDréa Riley

So first thing this morning before going off to work, I logged on to check on my online fam and was greated with what, negative comments about obama.
I want to say this to all who did not support Obama. (Sucks in my breath and puts my hands behind my back) Do not be angry and hateful that your candidate did not win. (Though any emotion you feel is yours to feel...,) but do not despair, You should endeaver just as his backers have, just as he has, to bring our country into GREATNESS, whatever your reasons for fearing his leadership. Think of the fear and despair millions of people have lived historicaly for hundreds of years. Racism asside, what of equality in the work place between men and women, what of lack of healthcare across all lines, what of religous persicution, that brought the first settlers across the ocean to a world unknown? What besides fear have we have lived in? I'll tell you what, HOPE that a better day could come! You Can not live your life bitter and in fear (you can if you want to) and then expect the world or economy to get better. Expect racism to fade away, expect health care to suddenly appear. You must be proactive, despite who the president is or is not. You may have to flip a burger or two at mcdonald's, but let me tell you about burger flippin...it pays the bills a little a time. Some times we as people have to stop and realize that none of us is simply intitled to anything on this earth. (Heaven and the here after is another thing all together). So for those of you whom spouted your faith as a bases in voting....take a min and spend it with your deity, Be it GOD, of ALLAH or BUDDAH or Aphrodite...pray with and open and light heart for the blessings that will bring us in to a new and better age. Pray for understanding and patients and civility. And remember that you had friends before you knew what side the voted on. And with grace and understanding you may still have those friends and family. Please do not become bitter and disgruntled.

I love you all As I loved you before
UNCONDITIONALLY!!!!
